The Bravo Company led by 1LT CATHRENE O ENDEREZ (AGS) PA, Commanding Officer joined and participated the Regional Youth Leadership Summit and the Launching of Youth Leader’s Network last 25-28 July 2019 together with the YouLead members which was held at Provincial Capitol, Brgy Buadi Sacayo, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, Brgy Ragayan, Butig, Lanao del Sur and Brgy Sumalindao, Sultan Dumalondong, LDS.

On 28 July, Bravo Coy facilitated during the Opening Ceremony of the culminating activity where COL GERRY M BESANA, U7, WMC gave his message on the purpose of the activity, followed by the simultaneous conduct of community activities such as Medical Mission, Dental Mission, Minor Surgery (Tuli), Livelihood Assistance, Peace Dialogue and Needs Assessment with the Returnees and MILF, Feeding Program, Gift Giving, Psychosocial Activities, and Peace Mural Painting sponsored by the partner stakeholders: OPAPP, JCI Iligan, IPHO, RHU, Peace Crops, USAID, and Upsilon Sigma Phi. The YouLead members were distributed according to their groupings and were able to assist every activity applying the different concepts learned from the previous lectures and activities. Then, boodlefight lunch followed where the civilians from the community joined with the youth leaders, facilitators, partner agencies and the military troops. The activity was held at Brgy Ragayan, Butig, Lanao del Sur.

The RYLS/LDS YouLead Net was a 4-day activity sought to instill the youth leaders who came from across Lanao del Sur and other participants from Zamboanga, Tawi-Tawi, Sulu and Maguindanao, a wider perspective on the current issues hindering peace and development, for a broader acceptance of individual responsibility as a leader through a series of lectures, interactive discussion focusing on leadership and the role of youth in nation-building. Leadership exercises, small group discussions, team building/outdoor activities were also given for the participants to fully achieve a worthwhile experience during the stay prior to their immersion in Butig, LDS.

The RYLS/YouLead Net was organized by Western Mindanao Command under the leadership of LTGEN CIRILITO E SOBEJANA, Commander, Western Mindanao Command and JTG Haribon under the leadership of BGEN ROMEO S BRAWNER JR AFP, Commander, 103rd Bde, 1st Infantry Division in collaboration with the partner stakeholders from the government and non-government units.
