Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City – January 24, 2024

The Western Mindanao Command Chief presented plaques and medals to the outgoing team of the Special Operations Task Force 511.2 on January 24, 2024. Brig. Gen. Aldrin Annani, the Deputy Commander of WestMinCom, led the awarding ceremony held at the WMC Conference Room at Camp Navarro, Calarian, this city.

 
The award of Military Civic Action Medal was presented to Maj. Jeffry Schuele, the outgoing commanding officer of SOTF 511.2, and all the officers and members of the team. The WestMinCom Deputy Commander also presented a Command Plaque and a Plaque of Appreciation to the US counterparts.

 
The outgoing team was deployed in the country from July 15, 2023 to January 31, 2024.
In his message, Maj. Schuele expressed his gratitude to Team WestMinCom for making their six-month mission a success. He also encouraged the unit to give the same support to the incoming team.

 
During the activity, Brig. Gen. Annani and the command staff also welcomed the new batch of US Marine Corps officers and soldiers who will be part of the SOTF 511.2 in the next six months.

Brig Gen. Annani expressed his gratitude to the SOTF 511.2 for their support of the endeavors of the Western Mindanao Command, particularly in the conduct of humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations and maritime security trainings.
