SIX (6) FORMER ASG MEMBERS EMBRACE REHABILITATION THROUGH LOCALIZED SOCIAL INTEGRATION PROGRAM (LSIP)On January 19, 2024, at H1101IBde, Bud Bayug, Talipao, Sulu. BGEN MARIO D JACINTO PA, Commander, 1101st Infantry (Gagandilan) Brigade, 11ID, PA led the presentation of six (6) ASG members who voluntarily returned to the folds of the law and turn-over their firearms through the Localized Social Integration Program (LSIP) to MGEN IGNATIUS N PATRIMONIO PA, Commander, 11th Infantry (Alakdan) Division/Joint Task Force Orion. The said ASG members namely: Leoner J Sahiron @ BABY BOY; Saupar Jilan Asing @ ABUTARIK; Alsid Jalaidi @ AL; Ridmar Absara Alih @ ALVARES; Jamal Arabani Abdusail @ JAMAL; and Aldi Hasim Minis @ ALDISON through the collaborative efforts of TOGSULTAW, 41st Infantry (Partner For Peace) Battalion, and 11th Military Intelligence Battalion.
Meanwhile, MGEN PATRIMONIO, delivered a remarkable message. He acknowledged the six (6) ASG returnees for choosing a normal life that was influenced by wrong doctrines against the government. Their decision has a positive impact on their families and communities and he also encouraged them to support the government's plans to end local armed conflicts and other violent activities. MGEN. PATRIMONIO also emphasized the government's leadership in collaboration with other organizations and LGUs, providing initial livelihood assistance and benefits for their jumpstart into the mainstream society. Likewise, Mr. Noenyrie Asiri (PTF-ELAC Focal Person) and Hon. Javier Abdulla (Municipal Councilor, Talipao) also gave their respective message which encouraged the ASG returnees to be a productive citizen to the community and embrace the peace in Sulu.
Other attendees included were senior officers of 11ID and key local leaders namely, Mr. Ben Azher S. Sahibaddin (LGU Pata representative), Hon. Najar J. Hajad (Councilor, Talipao, Sulu), Mr. Wahuddin Ammang (Municipal Accountant, Maimbung), and Hon. Almudzmir Tan (Chairman, Brgy Poblacion, Maimbung).
