Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City –

Six members of the communist terrorist group (CTG) were killed at the hinterlands of Barangay Chua, Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday, November 24, 2022.

Maj. Gen. Roy Galido, Commander of Joint Task Force Central said a series of encounters transpired at Sitios Sandigan and Mudti of the aforementioned barangay. He added that the involved unit was the 7th Infantry Battalion commanded by Lt. Col. Frederick Chicote of 603rd Brigade. 10 CTG members under Dennis Dulonan, a.k.a. Kalbo, Executive Committee member and Deputy Secretary of the remnants of East Daguma Front (EDF), Sub-Regional Committee Daguma (SRC Daguma), Far South Mindanao Region (FSMR). He has a standing Warrant of Arrest for arson and frustrated murder.
The troops captured one AK47, three M16 rifles, magazines, propaganda materials, and personal belongings. Operating troops continue to scour the area.

“This recent encounter exemplifies that the CTG capabilities are significantly degraded. Rest assured that we will sustain our current campaign and strengthen our partnership with all stakeholders to destroy the remaining threat groups who refuse to return to the folds of the law,” Western Mindanao Command Acting Commander, Marine Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas stated.
