A suspected bomber has been arrested in a joint operation carried out by the military and the Philippine National Police in Barangay Tulay in Jolo, Sulu, Joint Task Force Sulu said.
In a statement, JTF-Sulu said that law enforcement operatives including members of the 35th Infantry Battalion and the 7th Special Action Battalion of the PNP's Special Action Force (SAF) on Saturday served a search warrant on Nursitta Mahalli Malud, also known as Kirsita Ismael, and found her in possession of explosive and bomb-making components.

These include one 81-mm mortar HE cartridge, a blasting cap and a detonation cord.
The military said that Malud is the second wife of ASG sub-leader and bomb maker Mundi Sawadjaan. She is currently in custody at the Jolo Municipal Police Station.
