The bicameral Commission on Appointments (CA) confirmed Tuesday the appointments of 14 senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) led by Erickson R. Gloria as Lieutenant General.

The confirmation was made during the CA’s plenary session presided by Senate President Vicente C. Sotto III, concurrent CA Chairman.
The confirmation of the 14 senior AFP officers was recommended by Benjamin C. Agarao Jr., acting CA national defense committee chairman, after a public hearing.
Also confirmed were Florante M. Amano as Major General and Rey dela Cruz as Rear Admiral.
Seven Brigadier Generals, one commodore, two colonels and one Navy captain were also confirmed.
