Posted to the Western Mindanao Command (WESTMINCOM) Website (Apr 24, 2019): Troops clash anew with Sayyaf in Sulu



Operating troops of the 2nd Special Forces Battalion encountered undetermined number of Abu Sayyaf Group members under sub-leader Apoh Mike in Barangay Manilop, Indanan, Sulu at 2 o’clock this afternoon (April 24).

Apoh Mike is involved in numerous kidnapping of foreign nationals.

Firefight still ongoing as of this report.
