MLANG, North Cotabato (DWDD) – Authorities were able to neutralize two (2) suspected bomb couriers in Mlang, North Cotabato.
According to North Cotabato PNP Spokesman Police Superintendent Bernard Tayong, the incident happened early morning of August 8, 2018 at Barangay Sangat.
Authorities were not able to immediately come close to the cadaver of the suspects because of the suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that they were carrying. The police ar still verifying the identity of the neutralized suspects.
According to reports, soldiers of the 7th Infantry Battalion were conducting a military checkpoint when the suspects arrived on-board a motorcycle. Instead of stopping, the suspects sped off while firing at the soldiers, who returned fire thus killing the two suspected bomb courier. ALS / AES / MCAG
