PORT OF LEMBAR, Lombok Island, Indonesia (DWDD) – The multilateral naval exercise codenamed “KOMODO 2018” with its theme, “Cooperation to respond disaster and humanitarian issues” finally kicked off in Port of Lembar, Saturday morning with 37 countries, including the Philippines participated in the event.
The ceremony was formally opened by the Chief of Indonesian Navy, Admiral Ade Supande through a ceremonial drumbeat together with other chief of navies. The Vice Commander, Philippine Navy, Rear Admiral Gaudencio Collado Jr AFP represented the Flag Officer In Command, Philippine Navy for this occasion. Together with him were the head of the PN delegation, Commodore Toribio Adaci Jr AFP, the Commander, Fleet-Marine Ready Force and the Defense Attache to the Indonesia, Captain Zosimo Bolanos PN(GSC).
This was followed by the signing of inscriptions of all the chief of navy and head of delegations. The event was further enlivened with different “Lombok” cultural dances, parachuting, and flight exhibitions. NPAO / MCAG
