From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (May 25): IN GOOD HANDS | Mindanao Martial Law, Keeping the Peace
CAMP GEN EMILIO AGUINALDO, Quezon City (DWDD) – The Mindanao Region is in good hands, especially with the implementation of Martial Law.
This was the assurance given by Colonel Noel Detoyato, AFP Public Affairs Officer.
According to Col Detoyato, the AFP has two Unified Commands (Western Mindanao Command and Eastern Mindanao command) which have four (4) Army Infantry Divisions (1ID, 4ID, 6ID, and 10ID); one (1) Air Force Division (3rdAir Div), Naval Stations all over and Philippine Marine Brigades.
All of these commands and units provided the AFP with feedbacks from the populace they are serving and to those that they are in contact with.
Col Detoyato added that 1/3 of the AFPs forces are residents of Mindanao, which are also a source of their information.
Detoyato proudly stated that he is from Mindanao and all of his relatives are happy with the implementation of Martial Law.
“There are no rallies in Mindanao against Martial Law. Kung meron man, they don’t represent the majority of the Mindanaons. We support the Martial Law because it makes our mission accomplishment efficient and faster, said Detoyato. AES / MCAG.
