From CNN Philippines (Jul 23): AFP: Plans of suicide bombings inside and outside of Marawi City
Armed Forces of the Philippines Western Mindanao Commander Lt. Gen. Carlito Galvez said on July 23 that there are plans to conduct suicide bombings inside and outside Marawi City.
During a dialogue with displaced residents of Marawi City, Galvez said some remaining Maute fighters inside the battle zone are full-fledged ISIS members.
"Meron silang mga attempt na ang ginagawa nila tumatakbo sila sa sundalo, nag-a-ano sila ng mga granada," he said. "Kaya doon namatayan kami ng malaki kahapon." [Translation: They have attempts to run at soldiers carrying grenades. That's why we lost a lot of soldiers yesterday.]

Galvez earlier said around 10 foreign fighters are still inside Marawi City, some of them possibly veterans of the conflict in Mosul, Iraq.
The military said the battle in Marawi is getting more intense as soldiers inch towards the remaining Maute lairs.
Duterte declared martial law and suspended the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus in Mindanao on May 23 after members of the Maute group charged into Marawi City as government forces were attempting to arrest former Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Hapilon, who was appointed "emir" of Southeast Asia by terrorist group ISIS.
