THE CITY government of Davao has entered into a memorandum of agreement with Fagel Tabin Agricultural Corp. to allocate its property in Catigan, Toril for the headquarters of the Task Force Davao.
The signing was witnessed by the employees of the city government during the flag-raising ceremony held Monday morning in front of the city hall.
The MOA binds Fabel to allow the use of the property for free for a period of two years.
“It has been the First Party’s contribution to the welfare and protection of the community and the populace,” the memorandum reads.
Fagel Tabin Agricultural Corp. was represented by its president, Marcelo L. Fagel, and Col. Erwin Bernard L. Neri, the commander of Task Force Davao, represented the army contingent.
Following the signing of the MOA, the checkpoint of Task Force Davao in Toril will be transferred from Sirawan to Catigan within 30 days.
Fagel said the decision to allow Task Force Davao to use their property was anchored on their commitment to keep Davao City and the Dabawenyos secured.
Task Force Davao has been created to ensure that the peace and order of the city and the neighboring areas are maintained and protected.
