From Update.Ph (Apr 7): Air Force 3rd Division celebrates founding anniversary
Philippine Air Force’s 3rd Air Division (3AD) with headquarters at Edwin Andrews Air Base in Zamboanga City celebrated its 32nd Founding Anniversary April 5. The celebration was themed with “Air Vanguards of the Southern Frontier at 32: Fulfilling the Promise of Mindanao Through a Jointly Engaged Transforming Force For Greater Peace and Security.”
Air Force Commanding General Lieutenant General Edgar R Fallorina graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. He was accompanied by his wife, Erica Juliana Fallorina, who was invited as the event’s Special Guest, the Air Force said.
During the event, medals, plaques and streamers where awarded to personnel and unit that performed well in their jobs and missions during the past year. 3AD Commander Major General Conrado Parra assisted the Air Force commander in distributing awards.
“The 3AD also gave Plaques of Appreciation to its civilian partners for their various contributions to and participation in the attainment of its mission. Recipient of these awards includes CENRO-WEST and the Zamboanga Daily Times,” Air Force said.
The visit coincided with Air Force commander’s visit to Edwin Andrews Air Base. He convened all PAF personnel stationed in the base to meet him for the first time as Air Force commander.
