Meanwhile, Sylvia Ordoñez, KDF executive director, said cleft lip/palate patients who are operated on at an early stage (six months and above) have a better chance of recovering their ability to speak 100%.

Ordoñez requested all interested patients to come and register at the SBMA Gym located near the Freeport’s Main Gate and Remy Field on Wednesday for screening and decking.

After the said date, the mission secretariat will transfer at the Subic Bay Convention and Exhibition Center (SBECC) where patients will be accommodated prior to boarding the US Navy Mercy Ship which is currently docked in Subic Bay.

For patients coming from Pampanga area may coordinate with KDF-Jesus A. Datu Medical Center (JADMC) in Barangay San Vicente, Bacolor or call 045-4580027 /09175631314/ 09998847060 and look for Dianne or Nerissa for free transportation services to Subic which will be provided on Wednesday.

The Rotary International District 3790, headed by Governor Mai Ocampo and Governor-elect Raul Peralta and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority are the local organizing partners/hosts.
