Twenty-one uniformed personnel completed their one-month training for Peace and Development Operations (PDOps) Monday at the Camp General Artemio Ricarte in Barangay San Miguel in this city.
The PDOps includes cross training for social media management and audio visual production.
The training was aimed at augmenting the skills of officers and enlisted personnel, whose line of work is mainly focused on civil military operations, said Army Lt. Col. Noel N. Dela Cruz, commander of the 6th Civil Relations Group.
“Learning audio-visual production did not deter the thirst for new knowledge of these officers and enlisted personnel whose line of work is focused on civil military operations. These new skills will surely come handy in letting people in their areas of operation become aware of the noble intentions of the Armed Forces in promoting peace, good will and development in the communities where the soldiers are assigned,” Dela Cruz said.
These social media and AVP students underwent training on photography, video and film production and editing, tarpaulin-making, magazine layouting and other creative designs, according to Dela Cruz.
Members of the training team are Air Force Lt. Col. Joffre J. Muceros, Navy Commander Rommel M Oropesa, Army Lt. Col. Noel N Dela Cruz and Technical Sergeant Anthony A. Corpuz, Army Technical Sergeant Rod T. Sevilla, and several civilian professionals.
“This training is part of preparing and equipping our uniformed men to better do their jobs, minimizing outsourcing of jobs so that we can reach out better to the community,” Dela Cruz said.
