The Philippine Military Academy (PMA), the country’s premier military school, is set to hold its annual entrance examination in the different parts of the country, a military official said Tuesday.
Army’s 1st Infantry Division Public Affairs Officer-in-Charge Capt. Franco Suelto said the entrance examination is scheduled to be held on Sunday, August 3.
Suelto said there are three designated testing centers within the area of jurisdiction of the Army’s 1st Infantry Division.
These are in the following areas:
Suelto said the entrance examination will cover algebra, geometry, grammar and composition, reading and comprehension, verbal and numerical reasoning and pattern analysis.
He said the qualification to take the entrance examination are the following: natural born Filipino citizen; physically fit and of good moral character; single and has never been married nor pregnant nor have a legal obligation to support a child/children; at least high school graduate; no administrative/criminal case; and must pass the PMA exam, should be between 17 to 21 years old not later than 01 April 2015; and, height requirements is 5 feet to 6 feet and 4-inch tall for both male and female applicants.
He said walk-in applicants are advised to bring their completed PMA application form, NSO-certified birth certificate, 2x2 ID picture with white background, Transcript of Record for College graduate or level and Form 137 for high school graduates and two (2) pencils number 2.
He added that the applicants also are advised to be at the testing centers at 6 o’clock in the morning on Sunday, August 3.

He said once admitted into the Academy, cadets will be free of high quality college education, board and lodging, meals with a basic monthly pay of P27,425, with an additional P6,300-allowance as a Probationary 2nd Lieutenant.
