Tired of the causeless fighting being waged by his rebel comrades, a New People's Army (NPA) acupuncturist voluntarily surrendered to the Ifugao Provincial Police Office last Friday.
The rebel returnee was identified as Jerome Lindao alias "Ricky", 22, single and a resident of Barangay Pieza, Lamut, Ifugao.
He was immediately brought to Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet for questioning.
Lindao served as one of the NPA's logistic support personnel and acupuncturist of Team 2, Squad Dos, Samahang Partido Propaganda (SPP).
He decided to return to the fold of law as he was sickened by the violence being perpetuated by his rebel companions against peaceful civilians.
He also wanted to live peacefully with his family and avail of the government’s program for rebel returnees called the Comprehensive Local Integration Program.
