Mati City, Davao Oriental – As a gesture to alleviate the economic crisis brought by COVID-19, members of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) Committee of Davao Oriental chaired by Honourable Nelson L Dayanghirang and Co-Chaired by the 701st Brigade Commander, BGEN JOSE ERIEL M NIEMBRA AFP distributed Php 7,000.00 to the 42 FRs who are still awaiting to be processed in the E-CLIP program.
Since mass gatherings and trainings are not allowed during the quarantine period, the E-CLIP programs for FRs are on hold. Joining the provincial government in alleviating the hardship of these FRs is the DSWD which also provided Php 5,000.00 each as part of the Social Amelioration Program and the 10ID Multi Sector Advisory and Action Group which provided packs of foodstuffs.
The activity transpired at the Covered Court of Headquarters 701 st Brigade at Sitio Magay, Brgy Don Martin Marundan, City of Mati, Davao Oriental at 9 o’clock in the morning of May 6, 2020.
The 42 FRs who received the benefits from the Government and 10ID MSAAG came from the provinces of Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, Agusan Del Sur and Lingig, Surigao del Sur quad-boundaries.
Part of the ceremony is the display of 58 firearms that were seized and recoveredfrom the NPA’s possession from January 1, 2020 up to this date.
Also in attendance are MGEN REUBEN S BASIAO, Commander 10ID, PA and his Staff, Hon Michelle Rabat, Mayor of Mati City, Mr Orle Cabaobao, Provincial Director of DILG, Ms Grace Q Subong, OIC, DSWD Region XI, PCol Joselito L Loriza, Provincial Director of DOPPO and the 10ID MSAAG Headed by its chairman Mr. Ednar G Dayanghirang.
With more communist terrorist members coming back to the folds of thelaw even during this time of pandemic, it also of paramount importance to look into the plight of FRs especially on their day-to-day needs.
