CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Feb. 16 (PIA) – The Provincial Government of Isabela in coordination with national government agencies has started to bring free services , programs and projects for remote villagers.

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) provincial chief Engr. Corazon Toribio, head secretariat of Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC), said the activity is in response to the call of top government leaders of the country to bring the necessary programs, projects and services to the remotest places in the country and encourage the communist rebels to surrender and return to the folds of law.

The 'Serbisyo Caravan' focused on the remote barangay of Andabuen in Benito Soliven town in Isabela.

“The Local Serbisyo Caravan is in response to Executive Order No. 70 issued by President Rodrigo Duterte otherwise known as the whole-of-nation-approach to end local insurgents in the different influenced barangays in the whole country,” Toribio said.

Among the services rendered during the 'Serbisyo Caravan'were medical and minor surgical services, light a home project of ISELCO II, provision of starter kits of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) livelihood programs, mass feeding and gift-giving by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development OOffice(PSWD), medicine distribution by the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and other services and programs rendered by other national government agencies.

Gov. Rodolfo Albano III pledged to give car to the barangay to be used as a mode of transportation of the people in the place especially in times of calamities and emergencies.

“This is the time that the government will come to you, to listen to you, and to make things happen for all of you. I am not here to talk and make promises but I am here to listen to all of your plight, the agencies here present will also be bringing their services in your doorstep, because we care, the government cares for you," Albano said.

The local serbisyo caravan will be going to other interior and rebel-infested barangays in the next few days and will bring the same programs, projects and services . #(BME/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
