From the Philippine News Agency (Sep 17, 2019): PH Army gets new patrol cars, computers
The Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. (AFPMBAI) donated eight patrol cars, six laptop computers, and two desktop computers with printers, along with one uninterrupted power supply, to the Philippine Army (PA) Monday.
Maj. Gen. Reynaldo M. Aquino, Army vice commander, formally received the items for the use of PA units and officers.
“In furtherance of our commitment to promote the welfare of our members, your association, [AFPMBAI], credits its corporate social responsibility through its various flagship projects on education, health, livelihood, and general welfare," said retired Maj. Gen. Robert Arevalo, AFPMBAI president and chief executive officer.
In previous years, AFPMBAI projects provided hospital vehicles and equipment, computers, and support in enhancing recreational areas of the Army; in addition to the upgrade of insurance benefits received by the command’s uniformed men and women.
Currently, the association is completing the patrol car equipment for the 11th Infantry Division, which will reinforce security operations in their area of responsibility.
“As we in the Philippine Army continue to serve with a strengthened resolve and firm commitment in every task that is assigned to us. I am optimistic that with the support of our stakeholders like AFPMBAI, we will successfully achieve our vision of becoming a world-class army that is a source of national pride,” Aquino said.
