CAMP GONZALO SIONGCO, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao (DWDD) – At least 7 bandits of the DAESH Inspired Toraife Group (Daesh Inspired-TG) were neutralized and undetermined number were wounded in a continued military operation of the Joint Task Force Central (JTF Central) at Sitio Kabasalan, Brgy Darampua, Sultan Sa Barongis, Maguindanao that started on August 20, 2018 at around 11:00 o’clock in the morning.
The operation was launched after confirming a report from civilian residents with the help of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) on the exact location of the Daesh Inspired-TG under Salahuddin Hassan @ Orak.
The ground troops were supported with Mortar and artillery fires. Precise airstrikes further cause heavy toll on the terror group.
The Command is validating the reports on the ground, that among the fatalities were @Abdullah, alleged sub-commander, @Rasul, @Bayan,@Hamdan, @Abubakar, @Tima and @Hairiya.
“Your soldiers have been vigilantly guarding the entire Central Mindanao in order to prevent the DAESH Inspired TG from manufacturing Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and launch IED attacks in populated places,” 6ID and JTF Central Commander Brigadier General Cirilito E. Sobejana said.
