DWDD: KAKADU | 14th Multilateral Regional Maritime Engagement

ON BOARD BRP RAMON ALCARAZ (DWDD) – The Naval Task Force 91 headed by Captain Junjie B Tabuada PN (MNSA) aboard BRP RAMON ALCARAZ (FF16) conducts information briefing and dissemination to the PN contingent to ensure the readiness of all its members for the 14th Multilateral Regional Maritime Engagement code-named KAKADU 2018 (KA18) that will be conducted from 31 August – 15 September 2018 at Darwin, Australia.

KA18 is hosted by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and it is a biennial regional engagement activity that provides a significant training opportunity for regional nations such as the Philippines. Twenty-four (24) naval vessels and twenty-one (21) aircraft from twenty-six (26) countries will participate in this regional navy exercise.

This exercise conveys the Philippine Navy’s commitment in promoting multilateral cooperation with the Asia Pacific region. It will provide the PN an opportunity to participate in multinational maritime activities ranging from constabulary operations to high-end maritime warfare in a combined environment. NTF91 / MCAG
