The Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) headed by Secretary Teresito Quintos-Deles has decried the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP)' directive to the New People's Army (NPA) to intensify tactical offensives against government forces following the killing of the pregnant wife and two children of a B'laan tribesman, who has been waging armed resistance to a large-scale mining operation in Tampakan, South Cotabato. “It is unfortunate that the CPP has called for the intensification of violence. Such a call, no matter what the provocation or reason for it was, only succeeds to make us question the real intent of the CPP/NPA/NDF (National Democratic Front),” OPAPP said in a statement on Thursday, October 25....
