From the Philippine News Agency (Oct 26): Eight soldiers hurt in Basilan road mishap

Eight soldiers from the Army’s 104th Infantry Brigade were injured in a vehicular accident in the province of Basilan, the police reported Friday. The Lamitan City police said the accident took place shortly after 12 noon Friday in Barangay Sta. Clara, Lamitan City, Basilan. Investigation showed that the troops were on the way to the 104th Infantry Brigade headquarters in Isabela City, the province’s capital, coming from the municipality of Sumisip when they met the accident, the police said. Further investigation showed that the driver lost control of the wheel when the vehicle’s brake malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to overturn, throwing all the passengers on the pavement, the police said....
