The 12th annual Maritime Training Activity (MTA) of the Philippine Navy (PN) and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) codenamed “LUMBAS 2012” formally closed on October 25, 2012. The Closing Ceremony was conducted at Headquarters Philippine Navy (HPN) Multi-Purpose Hall, Naval Station Jose Andrada, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.... This training activity of the two navies started on the 22nd of October, 2012 and progressed for four (4) days within the Manila Bay environs. The event was composed of various maritime activities between the PN and RAN counterparts as facilitated by the Training Directors of parties. The training activities for “Lumbas 2012” were composed of Subject Matter Expertise Exchanges (SMEEs), Seaphase and Fleet Training Exercise (FTX), Shiprider Program, and social interaction between the two (2) navies....
