1,014 personalities returned to the folds of the law and withdrew their support for the CPP-NPA-NDF in Lopez, Quezon, on March 23, 2023.Joint elements of the 85th Infantry “Sandiwa” Battalion (85IB) of the 2nd Infantry “Jungle Fighter” Division (2ID), Philippine National Police (PNP) Area Police Command-Southern Luzon, and Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) facilitated the surrender, and the pledging of the oath of allegiance to the government, by the surrendered personalities.
