The Mental Health Teams of Camp General Manuel T. Yan Senior Station Hospital have conducted a Mental Health Seminar and Workshop for selected personnel of 10th Infantry Division post units in Mawab, Davao De Oro.
The workshop aimed to determine the mental health status and stress levels of 65 personnel from the 10th Installation and Management Battalion, 10th Division Training School, and 10th Company of K-9 Battalion, said Captain Mark Anthony Tito, head of the Public Affairs Office of the division.
The teams conducted a focused group discussion to identify mental health challenges and coping strategies among the personnel and assisted them in determining their strengths and abilities to bounce back to a normal state of mental well-being.
Major Gen Jose Eriel M Niembra, 10ID Commander, praised the initiative of CGMTYSSH in ensuring the good mental health status of 10ID personnel.
“Our soldiers are exposed to stressful situations, and it is our prime duty to look for the well-being not only for mission accomplishment but for the betterment of our organization,” Niembra added.
The teams plan to implement the program to all personnel of 10ID headquarters until Feb. 25 and intend to reach out to all 10ID subordinate units.
The teams have made it a priority to ensure good mental health status among 10ID personnel.
As soldiers are exposed to stressful situations, the Mental Health Teams seek to promote their well-being not only for mission accomplishment but also for the betterment of the organization.
