CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Authorities arrested a New People’s Army (NPA) leader in Barangay Tagumpay, Bay, this province, on Friday, Feb. 10.The Police Regional Office 4-A identified the suspect as Acer Obiado Turcedo, alias “Ar-ar,” a platoon leader of the Front Committee-1-Metro under the Samahang Yunit Pampropaganda (SYP)-Buhawi.
Turcedo was tagged as the No. 3 and 5 Most Wanted Person in Matuguinao, Samar for attempted murder and arson.
The suspect was apprehended on a warrant from a court and yielded a .45 caliber pistol, a magazine with 10 bullets, a grenade, and a sling bag.
