A Filipino-Japanese member of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) was captured by the joint forces of PNP Region 2 and 17th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army in a clearing operation conducted at 11:30 a.m. today, February 14.The so-called rebel alias “Brown” is a former student in a big university in Manila and the wife of a alias “Dessa”, a member of KOMPROB Isabela under the leadership of Commander “Rannie”.
Remember that there was an encounter between the military and fifteen members of the leftist group at around 3:30 in the afternoon of February 13 in Sitio Nangbaggayan, Sta. Margarita, Baggao, Cagayan where the exchange of shots lasted almost 30 minutes.
Some documents were recovered from the scene and will be used to indoctrinate new and former members of the anti-government group. Several items were confiscated including a laptop computer.
The aforementioned CTG member is currently in custody Philippine Army.
