Commander of the Army Support Command (ASCom), Philippine Army visited the Northern Luzon Command and was tendered with side boys military honors on Wednesday morning, February 23, 2022.
Lt. Gen. Ernesto Torres Jr., Commander NoLCom together with the command staff welcomed Maj. Gen. Glenn Cruz and his wife Mrs. Anna Liza Cruz.
During the talks, the visiting general expressed his gratitude to the men and women of NoLCom for their warm welcome and reaffirmed ASCom’s support to the unified command towards the performance of their mandated task as defenders of the north.
“We will extend our full support in terms of our capabilities to ensure that there will be no hindrance in the performance of our mission in securing the people and catalyzing the development of the area,” said Maj. Gen. Cruz.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Torres said that “the accomplishments of the unit wouldn’t be possible without the selfless service of the soldiers, the support of the peace-loving people of the north and central Luzon, as well as ASCom’s contributions and support in capacitating our troops toward mission accomplishment.”
Immediately following his courtesy call, Maj. Gen. Cruz personally visited the ongoing construction of the ASCom building located inside Camp Aquino, San Miguel, Tarlac City.
The Army Support Command is the main logistics support services provider of the Philippine Army in support of their mission as guardians of peace and protectors of the people.
