Suspected rebels killed a policeman in an encounter Monday in Lapinig town, Northern Samar.
Lt. Kenneth Tad-awan and other police officers were on patrol operations at 6:40 a.m. in Look village when they encountered alleged New People’s Army members.A firefight ensued that led to the recovery of explosive devices of the armed group.
Bloodstains were seen where the suspected rebels were positioned.
