FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — The Commanding Officer of the 24th Infantry (WILDCAT) Battalion, Philippine Army led by Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo Gary B. Garcia III, welcomed the withdrawal of support of the 60 Communist Terrorist Group’s Mass Supporters in Brgy. Pacqued, Malibcong, Abra on December 11, 2021.

Said manifestation of abandonment of support was held through a simple ceremony witnessed by Malibcong Vice Mayor, Hon. Ragino Siddayao, Sangguniang Bayan Member, Hon. Maria Gayban, and Barangay Officials.

To solidify the commitment of the 60 mass supporters who came from the youth, women, and farmers sectors, they signified by taking their oath of allegiance to the government.

Meanwhile, the Commander of the 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division, Philippine Army Brigadier General Andrew D. Costelo PA cited the influx of withdrawal of support of CTG-affiliated personalities with the intensive information campaign of the MTF-ELCAC together with the Army’s CSP team in the grassroots.

“These results are the fruit of our shared and strong commitment to awaken the CTG’s mass supporters and save them from the dangers brought by the terrorist organization to their lives and to the community as a whole. Asahan ninyong mas palalakasin pa namin ang aming campaign sa Northern Luzon upang matuldokan na ang problema ng insurhensiya sa lugar, “ said BGen Costelo.
