FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Commanding General of the Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Andres Centino credited the Army’s transformation roadmap (ATR) in attaining significant gains against the local terrorist groups in the country.
“The Army’s transformation roadmap has enabled us to become more efficient in carrying out our tasks,” Lt. Gen. Centino said in an online interview yesterday, November 1, 2021, with SMNI News.
“Iyong pag-implement natin ng operations ay napadali na rin dahil disiplinado ang mga sundalo. If ever mayroon mang misbehaviors na nangyayari, we were able to act on these right away dahil may systems tayo,” the CGPA said.
“Overall, dahil naisaayos ang procedures natin, organized na ‘yung pagplano at pagbudget ng ating mga gawain, napadali ang implementasyon ng ating mga plano at programa.” Lt. Gen. Centino said.
“We have instituted measures and scorecards to assess the efficiency of our performance,” the CGPA remarked. “Because of this transformation roadmap, we have performed very well.”
Lt. Gen. Centino has laid out four significant thrusts upon taking the helm of the Army on May 2021: implement an intel-driven operation focusing on the primary tasks to defeat the armed group; optimal use of resources; advancement of professionalism, and meritocracy within the organization; and protect the ownership of military camps and reservations for base development.
