Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, as national president of the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP), will attend the monthly Joint Command Conference of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Malacañang Palace, today.
President Rodrigo Duterte will preside over the joint conference that will also be attended by high-ranking officers of the AFP and PNP in the national and regional levels, a press release from the city, said.
Joining them is League of Provinces of the Philippines national president and Marinduque Gov. Presbitero Velasco Jr.
Leonardia said their agenda will also tackle the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“The command conference is always an enlightening experience because you get the wider and deeper picture of the security and peace and order situation in our country, that we can also use for our own evaluation and assessment of what could be implemented in Bacolod City,” the mayor added.
