One Section of Charlie Company, 37th Infantry “Conqueror” Battalion while conducting combat clearing operation encountered more or less 25 elements of the Communist Terrorists believed to be members of East Daguma Front, FSMRC under Commander a.k.a Rayray at 8:05PM on 31 January 2020 in So Sinuksok, Brgy Bugso, SNA, SK.
Said encounter lasted for about 30 minutes afterwhich, the CTs scampered towards different directions leaving behind their three (3) comrades who were killed during the encounter. Also seized in the encounter site is one M14 rifle, one M16 rifle, one caliber .45 pistol, one ICOM radio, 5 sacks of rice and medical kit. There was no casualty on the government side and still undetermined number of casualties on the enemy side based on the bloodstains seen by the engaged troops along the route of withdrawal.
Reinforcement was deployed by 37IB immediately after the encounter.
The encounter was a result of positive information and continuous help provided by the locals which manifest that these terrorists are slowly losing their so called mass supporters in Senator Ninoy Aquino municipality. The locals together with the LGUs are joining hand in hand to eliminate the terrorist NPA problem in the area.
