From the Philippine Information Agency (Aug 19, 2019): LCP officials attend joint command conference
NEGROS OCCIDENTAL -- Newly-elected president of the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) mayor Evelio Leonardia of Bacolod City led the delegates of the LCP to the joint Command Conference of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) held at the Malacañang Palace on August 8.
“We are looking forward to this meeting, not only because of national security and peace and order concerns but also for our own evaluation and assessment of what could be implemented to improve peace and security conditions in Bacolod City,” Leonardia quoted in a press release.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte presided the joint conference that was also graced by high ranking officers of the AFP and PNP in the national and regional levels
Other LCP officials who joined Leonardia were national chairman mayor Edgardo Labella of Cebu City and secretary-general mayor Arnan Panaligan of Calapan City.
To note, President Duterte has installed the LCP officials to office on August 6, 2019 at the Malacañang Palace. (LTP/LML-PIA6 Negros Occidental)
