Marine Battalion Landing Team-3 in coordination with the Philippine National Police, spearheaded the Peace Covenant signing held in Panglima Estino, Sulu on Tuesday, April 23.
It was participated by representatives from the Commission on Elections, Department of Education, religious leaders, and the aspirants for the 2019 midterm election.
The activity was done purposely to ensure a peaceful, orderly, honest and credible election on May 13, 2019 in the 2nd District of Sulu.
“Our primary concern is the safety and protection of the electorates. We sought the oath of the candidates to be united, for a peaceful and orderly election,” said LtGen Arnel Dela Vega of the Western Mindanao Command.
