DWDD: LAW ENFORCEMENT | AFP troops in supporting role in anti-Drug Operations

From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Jun 21): LAW ENFORCEMENT  |  AFP troops in supporting role in anti-Drug Operations

PUERTO PRINSESA, Palawan (DWDD) The involvement of our troops in the anti-illegal drug operation conducted in Bgy. Mangsee Island, Balabac on 15 June 2018 that resulted to the death of the barangay’s incoming chairman, Pistoh Tambak Hamja, was purely supportive in nature.
The support to law enforcement was extended to PDEA, as the lead agency, and the police, who have asked for our assistance.

We understand and respect the rights of the supporters of the late Pistoh Tambak Hamja in voicing out their sentiments, however, we urge them to remain calm and to cooperate with the proper authorities in order to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident so that justice may be properly and fully served, and that peace and order may prevail at all times.

WESCOM assures the constituents of Bgy Mangsee that our troops will always be supportive of their welfare, just as it had done in the past, particularly when typhoons had struck them. Likewise, WESCOM will continuously be supportive of serving law enforcement operations, such as on anti-illegal drugs and other unlawful acts perpetrated by lawless personalities and groups to ensure that peace and order will always prevail in their barangay, and the whole Province of Palawan.
