MAWAB, Compostela Valley Province (DWDD) – A certain Jomar Madalo Antolin alias Raffy, an active member of Milisyang Bayan, Guerilla Front 2, Southern Mindanao Regional Committee and the NPA’s bomb expert voluntarily surrendered to 71st Infantry (Kaibigan) Battalion on December 2, 2017.
Antolin is affiliated as Vice Commander of Milisyang Bayan Cluster Command (MBCC) sector Sapa in Masara Lines of Maco, ComVal Province who revealed his participations on several tactical offensives using Improvised Explosive Device (IED) against AFP/PNP personnel in the unit’s area of operation.
According to Antolin, MBCC is a group that is tasked to conduct sniping, extortion, and ambuscades using bombs.
“Surrender or die! On the pronouncement of PRRD, there will be no more talks between the government and the terrorists yet we are still open to those who intends to voluntarily submit themselves, cooperate, and return to the folds of the law”, said Lieut Colonel Esteveyn E Ducusin, the Commanding Officer of 71st Infantry Battalion, 7th Infantry Division, Philippine Army.
Lt Colonel Ducusin also added that the NPA’s extortion and hostile plan against vital establishments as well as the government forces are pre-empted and that he directed his troops to intensify security measures in order to continuously maintain peace and order in the area.
