From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Nov 30): HONORING A HERO | PMAP Awards Gawad Kagitingan to Cpt Jeffrey Buada
DUSIT THANI HOTEL, Makati City (DWDD) – The prestigious People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), founded in 1956, awarded the Gawad Kagitingan (Makatao Special award) to Cpt Jeffrey N. Buada, commanding officer of the 15th Scout Ranger Company.
The awarding by the premiere human resource management association in the country was held during the annual PMAP Gawad Makatao Awards at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.
A PMAP award, usually reserved for media organizations and personalities, was given to Cpt Buada for his selfless act and willingness to die for the freedom of hostages held captive by the Daesh-inspired Maute and Abu Sayyaf groups in Marawi City.
Cpt Buada was purposely chosen by PMAP for the award for his extraordinary heroism and uncommon valor. He has distinguished not only himself but the entire Armed Forces of the Philippines. He has also been recommended for the Medal of Valor Award. AFP / MCAG
