Acknowledging the remarkable performance of its Finance Division workforce, the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) recognized its finance staff from Central Management Office (CMO) and Regional Management Offices (RMOs) citing their diligent and outstanding efforts in carrying out their tasks.
Recognized for excellence in their respective areas were the following: Jeazle Mae G. Hassan-Nilong, Best Performing Finance Officer (with most update reports); Norinza T. Angni, Best Performing Accounting Officer; Hessam S. Nakan, Best Performing Financial Database Officer; and Fatima Al-Huda H. Rojas, Best Performing Budget Officer.
BDA Finance Head Hamodi Lao Tiboron, CPA, was bestowed with Outstanding Leadership Award for his excellent performance as Finance Head of BDA. He rendered his services in BDA since 2013.
The agency recognized a total of 34 staff under the finance division wherein mostly were awarded for their diligence in their works.
Tiboron noted the ability of the regional finance staff for presenting well their respective financial management status and analysis of financial reports.
The writeshop delved more on financial reporting and community-based financial management literacy.
It was themed “Bridging Bangsamoro to the World: Aligning BDA’s Financial Management System with Globally Accepted Standards.”
“Indeed, our team has grown enough. Before, only CMO was able to use Quickbooks,” Tiboron said and added “Now, almost all our regions have Quickbooks wizards already.”
He also cited the regional staffs’ ability to analyze, interpret, communicate and even defend their reports on which before only few could do.
Tiboron said the regional finance staffs are now able to show clear picture of their respective RMOs in terms of financial reporting and compliance with internal controls.
BDA is the economic arm of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. It engages with local and international development partners in bringing capacity-building initiatives and development projects to its target conflict affected and vulnerable areas in Mindanao and the island provinces.
