Chief Insp. Gean Gallardo, Lamitan City police chief, said the explosion occurred around 9:20 p.m. Monday at the main entrance of the port terminal in Barangay Kulay Bato.

Gallardo said no one was either killed or wounded during the explosion except for the water tank and window glasses that were destroyed.

Gallardo said the other IED, which failed to explode, was recovered in front of the police station in Barangay Matibay, Lamitan City.

He said the IED was lobbed by an unidentified person aboard a motorcycle around 7 p.m. Monday.
