Two more UH-IH "Huey" combat utility helicopters
of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) are scheduled for overhaul and repair of its
engine assemblies.
This was disclosed by Major Gen. Isagani Silva, PAF bidding
and awards chair, in a notice posted on the Philippine Government Electronic
Procurement System website.
The project has Php31,771,890 budget. Slated for repair are
UH-IH helicopters tail number 276 and 181.
Bid opening is scheduled on Sept. 17, 9 a.m. at the PAF
Procurement Center Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City .
"All particulars relative to Eligibility Statement and
Screening, Bid Security, Performance Security, Pre-Bidding Conference/s,
Evaluation of Bids, Post-Qualification and Award of Contract shall be governed
by the pertinent provisions of RA 9184 and its Implementing Rules and
Regulations (IRR)," the PAF bidding statement said.
The PAF operates 20 UH-IH and seven UH-IDs for troop, cargo,
humanitarian and disaster relief, and combat missions.
