The 302nd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army based in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental will have a new commander in the person of Col. Allan Martin.

Col. Martin will replace outgoing Brig. Gen. Francisco Patrimonio, who has served as the brigade commander since July 18, 2011, according to Maj. Cresenciano Gargar of the 302nd Brigade.

Maj. Gen. Emmanuel Baladad, 3rd Infantry Division (3ID) chief, will be the guest of honor and speaker during the turnover of command at the 302nd brigade headquarters in Palanas, Tanjay City on Wednesday, according to Gargar.

Col. Martin, a member of PMA Class ’83, was assigned prior to his latest appointment as 302nd brigade commander, to the Training and Doctrine Command of the Philippine Army, Gargar added.

Brig. Gen. Patrimonio, meanwhile, will be assigned as the Assistant Division Commander, 3ID, based in Jamindan, Capiz.

The 302nd Brigade is the mother of all Army units in Negros Oriental and in some parts of Negros Occidental.
