Gun battles between BIFF (Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters) and members of the government troops are ongoing in Maguindanao province and the BIFF have closed the national highway linking Cotabato and General Santos cities.
... BIFF (Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters) have blocked the highway in Barangay Bagan, Guindulungan town in Maguindanao with a water tanker and another truck.
The clashes broke out this morning around 4:30a.m. when BIFF
(Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters) harrassed an Army detachment in Barangay Buayan in Datu Piang town. This was followed by the harassment of another detachment in Barangay Bagan,Guindulungan Municipality at around 5:05am. BIFF also cut trees to block the highway, stranding dozens of motorists.
