Lt. Col. Eugenion Julio Osias IV, spokesperson of the army’s Fourth Infantry Division here, said that Virgilio Legaspi, a poultry owner, known as “Tatay Beloy,” survived the slay try with a gunshot wound on his stomach.
Osias said that army troopers from the 58th IB went to the rescue and engaged the rebels in a short firefight prompting the rebels to withdraw.
He said government troopers provided Legaspi first aid using the troopers’ medical items from the Combat Life Saver kit before he was transported to a hospital in
