NEGROS OCCIDENTAL — A total of 1,983 families from two different municipalities received cash assistance from the government morning of July 14, 2020.
The 79th Infantry “Masaligan” Battalion (79IB) and 62nd Infantry “Unifier” Battalion (62IB) secured the second tranche of cash distribution for the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Social Amelioration Program.
The DSWD released financial assistance for 1,393 families in Don Salvador Benedicto and 590 families in San Enrique. This cash grant will help alleviate the difficulties brought by the COVID-19 and while the province is still under Modified General Community Quarantine.
The 79IB and the 62IB are both under the 303rd Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army.
