72 ‘Hunter’ personnel promoted to higher rank

CAMP MONTECLARO, Miagao, Iloilo – A total of 72 newly promoted enlisted personnel belonging to the Philippine Army’s 61st Infantry (HUNTER) Battalion were given recognition.

The Donning of Ranks ceremony held at Camp Monteclaro, Barangay Igtuba, Miagao, Iloilo, October 7, was led by 61IB Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Joel Benedict Batara.

Batara personally pinned the rank insignia to 31 out of 72 enlisted personnel who were promoted to the next higher rank during the Flag Raising Ceremony, which was attended by the Hunter troopers.

The remaining 41 personnel will be pinned with their rank insignia in their respective company.

“Your promotion to the next higher rank comes with great responsibility. It is you who will be handling personnel soon as you will be occupying position of a leader that his subordinates must emulate. I will be expecting you to be a good leader.” Batara said.

He added that “The Hunter Battalion is performing well because of its responsible personnel, it is all because of you. So let us continue to aim high,” he said as he expressed his congratulations on all of them. (JBG/1Lt Hazel Joy M. Durotan)
