MARIA AURORA, Aurora -- The Philippine Army’s 91st Infantry (Sinagtala) Battalion (91IB) conducted on Sunday a community outreach program, benefitting some 3,000 residents in this town.
During the event, the villagers availed of free haircut, medical and dental services, and massage therapy.
Lt. Col. Jose Mari F. Torrenueva II, Sinagtala commanding officer, said the activity was made possible by a collaboration with Vanguard Anti-Crime and Corruption Task Force Inc. (VACCTFI), Fort Magsaysay Army Station Hospital (FMASH), and the municipal government here.
With the theme, “Kilalanin at Parangalan Tagasulong ng Karapatan ng Nakakatanda Tungo sa Lipunang Mapagkalinga,” the activity was also held in line with the Elderly Month celebration.
Torrenueva thanked their partners for helping bring government services to poor villagers.
He also assured the townsfolk that the 91IB will continue to implement the community outreach program.
The Sinagtala battalion has conducted eight medical and dental missions in the province of Aurora this year: five in this town, and one each in Dingalan, Baler, and San Luis.
