Incumbent 3rd Infantry Division Commander MGen Dinoh Dolina visited the soldiers in his farewell stopover at 302nd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army, Camp Leon Kilat in Tanjay City.

Dolina has been appointed as concurrent Acting Commander of Central Command (Centcom) of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) based in Cebu City, while the 3ID is in Jamindan, Capiz in Iloilo.

Commander of 302IBde, Col. Noel Baluyan, along with his staff and subordinate commanders led the reception in welcoming Dolina and his party.


According to Information Officer Designate Capt. Khadaffy Tawantawan, the brigade presented to Dolina their significant accomplishments and activities in sustaining the fight against the Communist NPA Terrorists (CNT).

“We showed also how the unit has been collaborating with the local governing units in pursuing their development thrusts and initiatives,” Tawantawan said.

During his talk to the troops, Dolina expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome at the same time commended the troops for their valuable contributions to the 3ID's overall campaign on development support and security operations during his stint.

“It is a job well done,” Dolina said.

He urged the 302nd Brigade to continue its commitment in serving and securing the communities from the deceptive propaganda and threats from the CNTs.

For his part, Baluyan said: “We are inspired by the words of our commander. We will continue to perform our mandate with more vigor to accomplish our mission. In doing so, we will collaborate closely with the various government agencies in the spirit of convergence as stipulated in the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NOTF ELCAC) and be able to realize inclusive growth and lasting peace in the brigade area of responsibility.” (jct/PIA7 Negros Oriental)
